Dear ARC Family,
With the start of 2021, I like to look backwards to see where we’ve been. 2020 was a year that completely changed the world. There were many negatives associated with it, but now we have the opportunity to take steps to move forward.
Unfortunately, like many conferences the world over, ARC was cancelled. We had fantastic presenters lined up and we were looking forward to seeing you!
ARC provides great opportunities to learn, discover and explore the future. We did not get to do that in 2020, but we are moving full steam ahead with the planning of our 2021 Academic Resources Conference, which will be virtual. Many of us are on Zoom daily, and Zoom fatigue is a real thing, but we did not want to miss out on another year, so this year we are reinvigorating what our ARC virtual conference will look like. It will be more than a typical Zoom experience and more than what you’re used to! Tracks will be available in Budget, Human Resources, Professional Development and Student Success. Our presenters are already working to provide top-notch presentations and they are catering to the changing demands of our institutions.
I’m sure I speak on behalf of the board members when I say, we are excited for 2021 and looking even further ahead - cannot wait until 2022, when we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of ARC “in person!”
We look forward to seeing you this year via Zoom. Our best is always what ARC strives for. We hope to see you there.
Patrick Bungard, President
