Introduction to the San Francisco Bay Regional Network

The San Francisco Bay Region Network (“SFBRN” or “The Network”) is a new, innovative approach to managing the back-office administrative and transactional functions by consolidating internally facing administrative and transactional functions at Sonoma State University, San Francisco State University, and California State University, East Bay into one single cost-efficient structure. The Network began delivering Information Technology (IT), Procurement, and Accounts Payable services (AP) on January 30, 2026. The SFBRN project implementation team will provide a high-level information session with an open Q&A.

From Idea to Impact: The Collaboration Behind the Curriculum

Speaker: Sarah Moncada, Andrea Skinner, Kari Manwiller

Curriculum starts with faculty-driven ideas and program development, but bringing a program from concept to implementation requires collaboration across departments, campus governance processes, administrative offices, and the larger system office while operating under state, federal, and accreditation standards. In this session, you will explore how curriculum moves through the full academic pipeline. Through presentation and interactive discussion, participants will gain an accessible understanding of how faculty, curriculum committees, admissions, the registrar, IT, scheduling offices, and the Office of the Chancellor all play a role in supporting curriculum and student success. You will leave with a clearer understanding of how curriculum decisions flow across the institution, how different offices contribute to implementation, and where your work fits within the larger process.

Live Networking: Connect with CSU Colleagues

Join us for a live networking session to connect with staff colleagues from across campuses and roles. We will provide a set of questions during the pre-session on Wednesday, 5/27 at 1PM for you to reflect on as conversation starters for this session. You are still welcome to attend this session if you did not attend the Wednesday session. We will split into breakout rooms and share our reflections, perspectives, stories, and questions. You will also have an opportunity during this session to join the first cross-functional book group hosted by CSU ARC to network and keep in touch with colleagues from across campuses after the conference.
